Runners Festival

In the morning, pupils take to Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz for the first Munich School Run. The festival opens at 1 p.m., and bib number pickup starts at the Olympic Hall. In the afternoon, the stage talks focus on the heart, training and women’s health, followed by the Friday AfterWorkWorkout. At 6 p.m., Brooks and the Campus Runners set off together from Brooks House.

The day starts with mobility yoga. At 11:05 a.m., the Dallmayr Coffee Run sets off on a 4.2 km loop through the Olympic Park without timekeeping. All entry fees go to the Münchner Tafel food bank. From 1:05 p.m., it’s the kids’ turn at the Kids Run. On stage, 2022 European marathon champion Richard Ringer talks about his sport, followed by the treadmill challenge by Sport Schuster, a talk with the pacemakers and the live podcast 26miles. The Pasta Party takes place at the Olympic Park from 1 to 6 p.m.

On race day, the festival opens at 8 a.m. The stage broadcasts live from the starting area, and later the runners of the Sport Schuster Half Marathon by Brooks pass right by. Award ceremonies begin at 12:50 p.m. DJ sets and two concerts by NICO SÜCKER round off the marathon weekend.

More than 20 partners and exhibitors are at the festival. A selection:

Brooks:

• At the Brooks stand, you can try out the latest models at Test & Try and discover the full range in the Product Zone. You can buy everything right at the stand, with sales run by Sport Schuster. Get your shirt embroidered and personalised on site, and get your race look sorted with tattoos, braids and a fresh cut from the barber at “Get Ready with Brooks”. If you feel creative, help design the community wall, write postcards or make your own cheering sign. On Friday, 9 October, the Kick-off Run with the Campus Runners starts at 6 p.m. at Brooks House. Out on the course, Brooks also hosts a Cheering Sign Contest at Odeonsplatz.

Sport Schuster:

• In the treadmill challenge “Think Fast, Run Faster”, you answer true-or-false questions while running, and winners are crowned every hour. Spin the prize wheel to win a prize, and there’s a programme just for kids at the stand too. On the back of the stand, you’ll find a wall featuring the names of all participants from every competition. See if you can spot yours.

Möbel Höffner:

• In the disc golf challenge, you get three throws to win a Höffi gift voucher. More prizes are waiting for you at the stand too.

REWE:

• At REWE, you can pedal your own smoothie on the smoothie bike, jump for prizes at the REWE Vertical Jump and design fan posters for the course.

Hydraid®:

• At the Hydraid® stand, you can try the different flavours and get your personal electrolyte and hydration plan. Take part in the interactive challenge to secure exclusive offers.

Dextro Energy:

• Dextro Energy presents the new PROLINE. The products provide carbohydrates in a 1:0.8 ratio and can be combined depending on your training session.

Suunto:

• At Suunto, you can check out the latest products and try the new Suunto Run 2. Borrow a test watch and enter the competition to win a Suunto Run 2 kit. There’s also a meet & greet with Daniel Hernes aka Danny_Run.

BLACKROLL:

• At BLACKROLL, you can test compression boots, the recovery pillow, rollers, bands and more, and buy everything on site. From Friday to Sunday, Kathrin Messer from Bloomergym runs workshops on stage.

BE-KIND®:

• At BE-KIND®, you can taste your way through the different varieties and, with a bit of luck, win prizes.

CEP:

• CEP shows compression socks, running shoes and sportswear that you can check out and buy right at the stand.

Shokz:

• At Shokz, you can try out the latest open-ear headphones and find the right model for training and race day.

Snow Space Salzburg:

• Make your first turns on the ski carpet and get a voucher for a discounted day pass for Snow Space Salzburg & Zauchensee. Save the date: winter opening in Flachau with DJ BUNT. on 5 December.

ECG & health check:

• At this stand, you can get an ECG and a health check on site. No booking needed, it’s first come, first served.

STOX Energy Socks:

• The compression specialist from Amsterdam lets you try on its running socks with graduated compression right at the stand. There are also temporary tattoos to get you in the marathon mood.

Therabody:

• At Therabody, you can test the latest recovery products, talk to the team and buy your favourites on site.

Youth:

• At Youth, you can check over 60 digital biomarkers across 10 health areas using your smartphone. Your first screening at the stand is free.

4Endurance:

• 4Endurance offers sports nutrition for endurance athletes with a focus on cycling, running and triathlon, from energy gels and drinks to recovery nutrition and supplements. At the stand, you’ll get personal advice on energy and nutrient intake in training and competition.

PURE FUEL:

• PURE FUEL makes fresh food right here in Munich. During the festival, you can try mini bowls and rolls for free.

Original Mariahilf Schwedentabletten:

• At the stand, Original Mariahilf presents its sodium tablets for endurance sports.

Evage:

• Evage presents supplements in four formulas: Endurance, Focus, Elevate and Flex. You can try them at the stand and find out what suits your training.

Coodex:

• Coodex presents its oxygen serum. The team shows you how to use it at the stand and answers your questions. You can test it on site, take a sample and buy it at the special event price.

YENDURE:

• YENDURE offers an alternative to safety pins that also makes a lasting souvenir of the MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks. You can get to know the product at the stand and try it out right away.
