Registration takes place online via the official registration platform of the MARATHON MUNICH by Brooks. After registering, you will receive an official confirmation of registration by email.

The voucher for your pre-ordered shirt will be included with your race documents.

Starting area: Olympic Park By public transport: Underground: U3/U8 to the stop “Olympiazentrum” Tram: Line 20/21 to the stop “Olympiapark West” (+ approx. 10 min walk) By car: Access is possible from all directions via the “Mittlerer Ring” (A8, A9, A92, A94, A96 and A99). Follow the signs for “Olympiapark”. Car parking facilities are limited. Parking fees are charged according to the rates of the Munich Olympic Park: 8,00 EUR for cars 25,00 EUR for buses and motorhomes Car park bookings can be made online on the official Olympic Park website. See here: https://www.olympiapark.de/de/der-olympiapark/besucherinformationen First changeover (Prof.-Huber-Platz Take the underground line U3/U6 to the stop “Universität” Second changeover (Tivolistraße): Take the underground U3/U6 to the stop “Gieselastraße” + approx. 12min walk Third changeover (Werksviertel): By public transport: S-Bahn: S1-S8 to the stop “Ostbahnhof” Underground: U5 to the stop “Ostbahnhof” Tram: Line 19 to the stop “Ostbahnhof” Metrobus: 54, 55, 62 to the stop “Ostbahnhof” City bus: 100, 145, 155, 187 to the stop “Ostbahnhof” (+ approx. 10min walk) By car: The best way to get there is from the east via Friedensstraße into the Werksviertel. Parking facilities in the car parks are limited. Parking fees are charged according to the tariffs of the respective car parks (e.g. “Autospeicher” or “Autosaal”). We recommend travelling by public transport.

Changing rooms & clothes depot

Clothes drop-off On Sunday, you can safely store your change of clothes in the Olympiapark so you can freshen up right after the race. At bib pickup, you will receive your Runner’s Bag for the secure storage of your change of clothes, along with a sticker for labeling. Please drop off your bag in the designated area at either Olympiahalle or Werksviertel. The drop-off stations are organized by bib number groups. Make sure to clearly write your bib number on the sticker and attach it visibly to the designated spot on the Runner’s Bag. Changing facilities If you want to change before the start or after the race, changing facilities are available. In the Olympiapark, you will find the changing rooms in the Olympiahalle. Special Luggage Want to check in more than just your Runner’s Bag? Additional luggage can be stored on race day for a fee of €10 at the special luggage drop-off in Olympiapark.

Question 8

Bib number & relay baton

Accepted Answer

Only participants with an official and valid bib number will be allowed to the run. Your bib number must be clearly visible and attached to your front at chest height with safety pins.

The race bib is personalised and therefore cannot be transferred to another person. If the lettering or sponsor logos are changed or covered, the participant will be disqualified

Runners without a bib number will be expelled from the course!

It is not necessary to return your bib number or the relay baton after the run. You can take it home with you as a souvenir.

Question 9

Timekeeping & Tracking

Timing Timing is done via the RFID transponder / MikaTag integrated into your personal bib. For relay teams, the chip is located in the relay baton. Please roll it up according to the instructions before the race and hand it over to your team members at the exchange zones. Results For the official results, only runners who properly cross the start and finish lines as well as all timing mats along the course will be counted. Your official time will be your net running time. The first 10 finishers (women and men) are ranked by gun time and marked accordingly in the results list. The race is measured and certified according to the official regulations of the DLV and WA. The course is eligible for rankings and recognized for records. Live Tracking With our event and tracking app, you stay fully informed and connected – before, during, and after the race. The app offers: Live tracking of your performance and position on the course Real-time updates on your progress and projected finish time Information about the course, aid stations, and exchange zones Push notifications with important event updates The ability to receive cheers and support from friends and family Whether you are running yourself or supporting someone else, the app provides guidance, motivation, and an overall great experience on race day.

The route is equipped with several refreshment points to keep you fueled during the run. There you can help yourself with water, electrolyte drinks and snacks to keep you fully energised throughout your run.

Refreshment station (water stops):

At the refreshment stations, you will receive: water provided by Stadtwerke München.

Accepted Answer

Mobile toilets are available in the start and finish areas and at all refreshment / water stations. Before the start in the Olympic Park, the toilets in the Olympic Hall can be used. Sanitary facilities and mobile toilets are available in the start area in the Werksviertel.

Finishing the run together

Accepted Answer

At Willi-Gebhardt-Ufer, just before kilometre 42, approximately 300 metres before the finish line, relay runners 1 to 3 can join the final runner and run the last few metres to the finish line in the Olympic Park together as a strong team. A perfect moment to celebrate team spirit and cross the finish line together!

Finish area: Willi-Daume-Platz at the Olympic Lake Cut-off-time: 3:20 pm  Time limits on the route: Your specified finish time must be sticked to. The limit is signaled by a final vehicle. Traffic regulations: Road closures only apply during the specified periods. Exceeding the time limit: If you exceed the time limit on the running course, you must continue your run on the pavement.

Finish line refreshment

Accepted Answer

At the finish line in Olympiapark, a rich selection of refreshments awaits you to help you recover and reward yourself after your successful run.

Please note: Access to the finish line refreshments is only allowed once. Take this moment to recover and refuel before leaving the area before you leave this area.

The results lists and certificates are available for download and printing immediately after you cross the finish line at www.marathonmuenchen.org or in the MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks app.

Please note: Certificates cannot be sent by post.

Changing rooms & showers

Proper recovery is essential after crossing the finish line. In Olympiapark, changing rooms, showers, and physiotherapists are available. Here you can freshen up and recharge before celebrating your achievement.

Showers

Location: Olympic Swimming Hall (Olympiaschwimmhalle)
Access: Free with your bib as entry pass. The entrance is located between the main entrance to the Olympic Swimming Hall and the east entrance of the Große Olympiahalle.

Take the opportunity to refresh yourself and finish your race feeling great.

Changing Facilities

Whether before the start or after the race, changing facilities are available. In Olympiapark, you can find them in the Olympiahalle.

Physiotherapy for tired muscles  After showering, physiotherapists are available to support your recovery. A relaxing treatment can help relieve tension and relax your body. Location: Olympic Swimming Hall (Olympiaschwimmhalle) Access: Free with your bib as entry pass at the main entrance of the Olympic Swimming Hall Note: For hygiene reasons, a shower is required before the treatment Take advantage of this service to relax your muscles and recover fasterer more quickly.

Sustainability is important to us. That’s why we rely on environmentally friendly measures to make the MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks as resource friendly as possible. You can help too!

Travelling ecofriendly – use public transport

We recommend that all participants travel by public transport. The Olympic Park is perfectly connected to the public transport system MVV. Here you can find all information about how to get there: https://www.olympiapark.de/de/der-olympiapark/besucherinformationen

Clean route – Please dispose of waste correctly

Refreshment stations: Please dispose used cups and packaging in the bins provided directly behind the refreshment stations.
Finishing area: You will find separate containers for reusable cups from the finish catering so that they can be reused.

Doing good – donating instead of throwing away

Any leftover food from the catering points and the finish area will be donated to charitable organisations.
Clothing left behind in the starting area is collected and given to those in need.

IIn an emergency, every second counts. Anyone can help! The most important thing is to offer assistance and call the emergency services.

Immediate measures in an emergency

Our medical service is on standby at the Olympic Park and along the Course.

How many people are affected?

This information will enable us to provide rapid and targeted assistance. Your support can be crucial!

Note: Please fill out the emergency information on the back of your bib completely, so that we can contact your next of kin in case of an emergency.

Your health comes first. To make sure that you can enjoy your run safely, you should listen to your body and avoid possible risks.

Before the run – don’t forget your health check

It is recommended that you have a sports medical examination once a year to check your physical fitness.
If you are unsure whether you can start, seek medical advice.

During the run – Pay attention to warning signals

React to unusual complaints or warning signals from your body.
If in doubt, it is better to cancel the run to avoid damage to your health.

When a start is not recommended:

If you have an acute infection or health problems, you should refrain from taking part.
This recommendation applies to all distances and disciplines.

Be mindful of your body – a healthy finish is the most important goal.
