Registration & entry fee

Accepted Answer

You can register via the official website of MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks. The registration is possible until September 28, 2025.

Late registration is only possible online and will take place a few days before the race up to the Sunday of the marathon until 8:00 am.

If your registration was successful, you will receive an official registration confirmation by e-mail.

All important information regarding registration and entry fees can be found following the registration button.

Question 2

Bib number & starter package

Accepted Answer

The pickup of your bib number will take place from Friday to Sunday (October 10-12, 2025) in the Olympic Park. The exact location will be announced later.

A valid photo ID and confirmation of participation are required for your personal pickup.

Otherwise, collection by an authorised person is possible. This requires a private written power of attorney and an identification document of the authorised person.

Shipment of your starting documents is only within Germany possible. We charge a fee of 7,50€ for it.

Question 3

Shipment

Accepted Answer

Shipment of your starting documents is possible. We charge a fee of 15 € within Germany and 20 € within the EU for it.

Running Shirt & Merch

Accepted Answer

You can order the MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks Running Shirt and merchandise for your race. The voucher for collection will be in your Runner’s Bag which is given to you with your bib number.

It is also possible to order online. You will soon find the shop here on this page.

How to get there

By public transport: Underground: U3/U8 to the stop “Olympiazentrum” Tram: Line 20/21 to the stop “Olympiapark West” (+ approx. 10 min walk) By car: Access is possible from all directions via the “Mittlerer Ring” (A8, A9, A92, A94, A96 and A99). Follow the signs for “Olympiapark”. Car parking facilities are limited. Parking fees are charged according to the rates of the Munich Olympic Park: 8,00 EUR for cars 25,00 EUR for buses and motorhomes Car park bookings can be made online on the official Olympic Park website. Question 6

Changing rooms & clothes depot

Accepted Answer

On race day, your changing clothes can be safely stored so that you can freshen up straight after the run.

Clothes drop-off:

The clothes drop-off will take place before the run in the Olympic Park. Please plan enough time, so you don’t get in a hurry. You can only hand in your Runner’s Bag that was given to you with your bib number. It’s important to label your bag, so they can be kept apart from each other later. Therefore, mark your bib number clearly on the Runner’s Bag.

Additional sports bags or larger items can be deposited in exchange for a fee at the cloakroom at the Infopoint.

Make sure that all your valuables are safely stowed away so that you can fully concentrate on your race.

Changing facilities:

To change before or after the run, changing rooms are available directly in the Olympic Park.

Question 7

Start & starting blocks

Start: Olympic ParkStarting time: 9:00 pm, in several starting blocks depending on your specified finish time (your starting time and starting block are noted on your bib number) Important notes for the starting area Access: Only participants with an official bib number on which your starting block is marked. Clothes: All items of clothing left behind in the start area will be collected and donated to charity. Please be there on time so you can start your run relaxed.

Question 8

Bib number

Accepted Answer

Only participants with an official and valid bib number will be allowed to the run. Your bib number must be clearly visible and attached to your front at chest height with safety pins.

The race bib is personalised and therefore cannot be transferred to another person. If the lettering or sponsor logos are changed or covered, the participant will be disqualified!

Runners without a bib number will be expelled from the course!

It is not necessary to return your bib number after the run. You can take it home with you as a souvenir.

Question 9

Timekeeping & Tracking

Accepted Answer

The time is measured using the RFID transponder/MikaTag, which is integrated into your personal bib number.

Rating:

Only runners who properly cross the start and finish line and all other control mats on the course will be rated. Only your effective running time will be counted.

The run is measured according to the official regulations of the DLV and the WA and can be used for leaderboards.

Live tracking:

On the day of the run your live data will be transmitted and is available at www.marathonmuenchen.org. Friends and family can follow your personal progress in real time.

Question 10

Pacemaker

Accepted Answer

Target times: 3:00 hrs, 3:15 hrs, 3:30 hrs, 3:45 hrs, 4:00 hrs, 4:15 hrs, 4:30 hrs, 4:45 hrs and 5:00 hrs. Positioning: The pacemakers will be positioned in the designated starting groups according to their finish time. Recognisability: Each pacemaker carries a recognisable flag with their specific finish time.

Refreshment points

Accepted Answer

The route is equipped with several refreshment points to keep you fueled during the run. There you can help yourself with water, electrolyte drinks and snacks to keep you fully energised throughout your run.

Question 12

Self-catering

Accepted Answer

Self-catering is only possible under the following conditions: For marathon runners with a target time of up to 3:30 hours For medical reasons Or due to allergies Specifications for self-catering: Only plastic bottles are allowed Your refreshments must be labelled with the kilometre of the refreshment point and your race number Your bottles will be placed on a separate table at the start of the refreshment stations (you can the exact locations of the refreshment stations under the point “Refreshment points”) You can hand in your own catering on Saturday (October 11, 2025) and the Sunday of the marathon until 7:30am at the Infopoint The organiser assumes no liability for the loss of or damage to personal belongings. Use this opportunity to optimally cater for yourself and to be able to achieve your best performance.

Toilets

Mobile toilets are available at the start and finish areas, as well as at every refreshment and catering point for all runners (see above).

Question 14

Finish & finish times

Accepted Answer

Finish area: Olympic Park  Cut-off-time: 3:20 pm  Time limits on the route: Your specified finish time must be sticked to. The limit is signaled by a final vehicle. Traffic regulations: Road closures only apply during the specified periods. Exceeding the time limit: If you exceed the time limit on the running course, you must continue your run on the pavement.

Finish line catering

At the finish line, plenty of refreshments await you in the Olympic Park so that you can regain your strength after your successful run and reward yourself for your performance.

Please note: You can only access the finish line catering area once. Use the moment for your regeneration and make sure you’re properly fueled before you leave the area.

Medals & award ceremony

Accepted Answer

Every finisher receives a finisher’s medal at the finish. To make your experience even more unique, you have the option of having your medal engraved.

Costs:
- 15 EUR when buying on site
- 12,50 EUR for pre-ordered vouchers (you will get these with your bib number and Runner’s Bag in advance)

If you already have a voucher, you can use it directly at the engraving stand.

Award ceremony:

The official award ceremony for all races will also take place in the Olympic Park. The fastest runners will be honoured for their fantastic performance.

Results & certificate

Accepted Answer

You can find your personal results and your certificate after the run at www.marathonmuenchen.org. They will then be available for you to download and print out.

It is not possible to send the certificates by mail.

Accepted Answer

After the finish, proper regeneration is essential. There are changing facilities, showers and physiotherapists available in the Olympic Park. Here you can freshen up and recharge your batteries before celebrating your success.

Physiotherapy for tired muscles  After showering, physiotherapists will be available to help you regenerate. A soothing treatment can help to relieve tension and relax the body. Where: Olympic Park  Note: Due to hygienic reasons, a shower is required before the treatment. Treat yourself to this service to relax your muscles in the best possible way and recover more quickly.

The MarathonPhotos team will be at the MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks as the official photo service. They make sure to capture your highlights of the run perfectly!

Sustainability is important to us. That’s why we rely on environmentally friendly measures to make the MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks as resource friendly as possible. You can help too!

Travelling ecofriendly – use public transport

We recommend that all participants travel by public transport. The Olympic Park is perfectly connected to the public transport system MVV. Here you can find all information about how to get there: https://www.olympiapark.de/de/der-olympiapark/besucherinformationen

Clean route – Please dispose of waste correctly

Refreshment stations: Please dispose used cups and packaging in the bins provided directly behind the refreshment stations.
Finishing area: You will find separate containers for reusable cups from the finish line catering so that they can be reused.

Doing good – donating instead of throwing away

Any leftover food from the catering points and the finish area will be donated to charitable organisations.
Clothing left behind in the starting area is collected and given to those in need.

First aid

In case of an emergency, every second counts. Anyone can help! The most important thing is to offer help and call the emergency services.

Your health comes first. To make sure that you can enjoy your run safely, you should listen to your body and avoid possible risks.

Before the run – don’t forget your health check

It is recommended that you have a sports medical examination once a year to check your physical fitness.
If you are unsure whether you can start, seek medical advice.

During the run – Pay attention to warning signals

React to unusual complaints or warning signals from your body.
If in doubt, it is better to cancel the run to avoid damage to your health.

When a start is not recommended:

If you have an acute infection or health problems, you should refrain from taking part.
This recommendation applies to all distances and disciplines.

Be mindful of your body – a healthy finish is the most important goal.
