The MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks has been recognised by World Athletics: our marathon course has been awarded the prestigious ‘World Athletics Road Race Label 2025’ for the 2025 event.

This means that the Munich Marathon is now one of the globally recognised ‘World Rankings Competitions’. For all professional athletes, this means that your performances on the Munich course on 12 October will be directly included in the official World Athletics annual rankings. Both your running time and your placing will earn you points for your personal ranking.

The label is not only a seal of quality for the event itself, but also guarantees that our course meets the highest international standards – from precise measurement to professional organisation.
