New route, more city flair.
A completely new route through the centre of Munich
The MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks on October 12th, 2025 will feature a revised route that puts an even greater focus on Munich’s top spots. In addition to the classics – Marienplatz, Siegestor, Odeonsplatz, English Garden and Olympic Park – runners can look forward to new highlights.
Marathon: the new one-lap course will take runners past the Sendlinger Tor for the first time and through the modern Werksviertel, which will be transformed into an energetic centre of atmosphere with live entertainment.
Half marathon: this year more than ever, the 21.1-kilometre distance can be described as a real city centre course. The start is now in the Olympic Park. From there, the route leads completely through the city to the turning point at the Sendlinger Tor and back via the Rindermarkt and the Siegestor to the Olympic Park.
10 KM RUN: For the first time, the 10-kilometre run starts in the Werksviertel – a perfect location with outstanding infrastructure and a unique event character.
The new routes not only provides an even more attractive scenery for the runners, but also an improved spectator experience. At numerous cheering spots along the route, music, entertainment and gastronomic offerings will create a unique atmosphere. This will make the MARATHON MÜNCHEN by Brooks 2025 a special event not only for the participants, but also for all fans and visitors.
In addition to the classic disciplines, the Friendship Run and the Kids Run in the Olympic Park on Saturday will also offer an unforgettable running experience for all generations.
